You can't make this shit up.
My 17 favorite Top Ten Overall Draft Picks by the Vancouver Canucks...
1970 - Dave Tallon 2nd Overall (Could have had Darryl Sittler)
1971 - Jocelyn Guevremont 3rd Overall (Could have had Terry O'Reilly)
1972 - Don Lever 3rd Overall (Could have had Steve Shutt, Bill Barber)
1973 - Dennis Ververgaert 3rd overall (Could have been Lanny McDonald, John Davidson, Bob gainey, Rick Middleton)
1975 - Rick Blight 10th Overall (Could have been Bob Sauve)
1977 - Jere Gillis 4th Overall (Could have been Doug Wilson, Mike Bossy)
1978 - Bill Derlago 4th Overall (Could have been Ken Linesman, Brad Marsh, Al Secord, Dale Hunter, Mike Gillis, Steve Tambellini- Those last two would have sucked it, just interesting is all.)
1979 - Rick Vaive 5th Overall (Could have been Ray Bourque, Paul Reinhart, Duane Sutter, Michael Goulet, Kevin Lowe)
1980 - Rick Lanz 7th Overall (Could have been Brent Sutter)
1981 - Grath Butcher 10th Overall (Could have been Al MacInnis)
1984 - JJ Daigneault 10th Overall (Could have been Gary Roberts, Kevin Hatcher)
1985 - Jim Sandlak 4th Overall (Could have been Ulf Dahlen, Dave Manson)
1986 - Dan Woodley 7th Overall (Could have been Brian Leetch, Craig Janney)
1989 - Jason Herter 8th Overall (Could have been Bobby Holik, Mike Sillinger, Olaf Kolzig)
1991 - Alex Stojanov 7th Overall (Could have been Brian Rolston, Alex Kovalev, Markus Naslund, Geln Murray, Martin Rucinsky)
1997 - Brad Ference 10th Overall (Could have been Marian Hossa, Scott Hannan, Brenden Morrow)
1998 - Bryan Allen 4th Overall (Could have been Alex Tanguay, Simon Gagne, Scott Gomez)
And thats not even including any shit picks they have made in the last decade that has yet to be seen. It is also interesting to note that there have been many other first Round busts by the Canucks over the years they just weren't in the top ten overall. If 17 busts in 27 years isn't enough proof, then I don't know what is.
WORST. SCOUTS. EVER.

And so explain how I got a contract extension... eh, smart guy?
Jason Herter averaged a point a game in the NHL I'll have you know, give the guy some lack.
And what a game it was.
